Danny Masterson was recently handed a 30-year jail sentence for two cases of sexual assault. But even though he’s likely going to be in jail for decades over violent crimes, his wife Bijou Phillips reportedly has no plans to leave him.
“She has had a very difficult time since the conviction,” a source divulged to PEOPLE. “She loves Danny and has no plans to file for divorce. She will be by his side for it all.”
Bijou Plans to Stay With Danny As He Appeals His Conviction
The insider added that Bijou, an actress known for role on the television program Raising Hope, among many roles, has been relying on her family and friends since Dany’s legal troubles began. “She is in touch with his lawyer,” they continued. “They are planning appeals. She tries to stay hopeful.”
Bijou, along with Masterson's family members, was present in the courtroom during Thursday's sentencing. In a courtroom sketch, the actor was observed blowing a kiss to his wife just before being escorted to prison.
While Bijou may be working with her husband and his legal team to explore their options, an earlier report said the actress was shocked when he was given a three-decade sentence.
“She wasn’t prepared for the verdict,” a source said in June, after Danny was found guilty of two counts of rape. “She never expected him to be found guilty. Last June, he was found guilty on two of the counts, while the third count led to a hung jury, with eight out of the jurors voting in favor of convicting the actor.
